Richard wins again at the Warrior
June 19th
Warrior River
Water temp: 90+
Landing: Howton's
HOT,HOT,HOT, The best way to describe the conditions at the Warrior. Due to these conditions the Tournament Director made a real good decision to end the event at 12 noon. With no wind or current the bite was reported slow and tough. At the end of the day, Richard Johnson had the only five bass limit weighing 8Lbs 10ozs to get the back to back win.
Darryl Witherspoon weighed in four bass at 8Lbs 4ozs to take second place. Bryan Butler fought his way back into the top six with two good fish at 7Lbs even. Bryan also took big fish honors with a largemouth weighing 3Lbs 14ozs.
We're half way through the season and things are really starting to get interesting. With a HOT summer in store we are getting ready for our early morning events and ending the tournaments at 11am. Goldenrods are headed back to Mitchell Lake, this should be exciting!
Fish were reported caught on plastics, toads, swim jigs.
Congratulations to all the winners!
